Becoming a CMA

The CMA Accreditation Process fosters the specialized capabilities needed to excel as a financial and strategic management professional by integrating a wide-ranging set of leadership and management skills with core financial and business expertise.

To obtain the CMA designation, prospective members must have a university degree, pass the National Entrance Examination, complete CMA Canada's Strategic Leadership Program (SLP) Development phase (Year One), pass the Case Examination, complete the Application phase of the SLP (Year Two), including the Board Report, all while gaining practical full-time work experience in a strategic financial management environment.

CMAs are Creative Accountants
