CCH Canadian to launch its enhanced version of Taxprep this December

Personal Taxprep promises to deliver an innovative tax preparation experience

CCH Canadian has enhanced its professional tax software with innovative ways to prepare personal income tax returns. During this year’s tax season, the enhanced version of Personal Taxprep was used by over 100 tax specialists to prepare approximately 10,000 tax returns including EFILE. Accountants were impressed with the significant upgrades and found they could prepare tax returns faster.

 “I learned and appreciated the Xpress report,” said Stephen Jones, of Assante Financial in Waterloo, Ontario. “By using this, it reduced preparation time by 15 minutes per return, and by including it in the printed package for the client (versus printing every form) we saved an additional 15 minutes per return. These time savings are substantial!”

With Personal Taxprep, accountants can now augment their professional services using a wealth of information contained within their data files. The enhanced Client Manager has the ability to easily filter and sort accountants’ customer databases to prepare proactive communiqués and letters for clients. Accountants who used the enhanced platform to complete returns this year were impressed with the user-friendliness of the advanced Client Letter, EFILE and Print modules.

CCH listened to its customers’ suggestions for product improvements through surveys, seminars and training. During Personal Taxprep’s development, CCH conducted user group forums, consulted with leading software engineers and industry consultants, delivered both Prototype and Beta versions to end users, conducted client validation sessions, implemented rigid software industry standards for development, and delivered a complete filing version this past tax season!

All the functions, features and tax optimizations the industry has come to recognize in Taxprep have been maintained. All the keystrokes, so familiar to Taxprep users, have been retained, which means that data entry will not be affected. Additionally, customers appreciated the recognizable, easy-to-use interface, which is based on current software standards.
